Definition: Heat kits, also known as radiant electric heat, are equipped with open coil heating elements as well as controls, options, and accessories that are designed to completely replace the existing heater kit in the original manufacturer A/C unit.


Scope of Work

  1.   Perform required lockout/tag out safety protocol of NFPA70E of all high voltage electrical circuits prior to beginning work on the unit. 
  2.   Remove and dispose of existing electric heat kit assembly. 
  3.   Furnish and install (1) new electric heat kit assembly.    
  4.   Torque all lugs and electrical connections to manufacturer’s specifications to ensure proper operation. 
  5.   Basic start-up and testing of newly installed electric heat kit assembly to ensure that it is performing with in manufacturers specifications per the unit’s nomenclature.
