Evaporator Coil Cleaning

Standard evaporator coil cleaning per industry standards.


This is a standard evaporator coil cleaning, wherein we remove normal dirt and debris build up typically found on the coil and embedded in the cooling fins of your equipment. Cleaning this will ensure that the unit delivers the best comfort and efficiency, and help prevent future failures.  

Definition: An evaporator coil is the part of an air conditioner or heat pump that absorbs the heat from the air in your facility. It is located inside the air handler or attached to the furnace.


Scope of Work

  1.   Perform required lockout/tag out safety protocol of NFPA70E of all high voltage electrical circuits prior to beginning work on the unit. 
  2.   Recover existing refrigerant charge into the condensing unit prior to removal of the evaporator coil. 
  3.   Disassemble all applicable portions of the air handler to access the coil for cleaning and chemically clean all accessible portions of the evaporator coil. 
  4.   Release the refrigerant charge from the condensing unit and verify refrigerant pressures prior to departure.  
  5.   Basic start-up and testing of to ensure unit is performing within manufacturers specifications as per the unit’s nomenclature.
