Additional HVAC/R Troubleshooting

Providing additional troubleshooting for miscellaneous HVAC/R issues.

Troubleshooting is a process, and often we need approval for more time in order to properly investigate troublesome HVAC/R issues. Usually, this involves simply gaining approval to perform more in-depth diagnostics and garner a better understanding of what surface-level operational issues are being caused by.

Definition: Troubleshooting is the process of diagnosing the source of a problem. The basic theory of troubleshooting is that you start with the most general (and often most obvious) possible problems, and then narrow it down to more specific issues.

Scope of Work

  1.   Perform required lockout/tag out safety protocol as per NFPA70E of all high-voltage electrical circuits prior to beginning work on the existing unit.
  2.   Thoroughly evaluate all mechanical apparatus, electrical and/or low voltage controls as needed to determine root cause of operational or intermittent failure.
  3.   Document all findings and report to client and/or pause for additional quote for actual repairs or “next steps” need in attempting to repair.
  4.   Relay information/ discoveries and determinations to estimator for proper repair budgeting as needed/ if required.
  5.   Start up and test for proper operation.
