Compressor Replacement

Standard replacement of air conditioning compressor per industry standards.


This is a standard air conditioning compressor replacement, wherein we remove and replace the compressor entirely to ensure proper unit repair.

Definition: An air conditioner compressor is the component that raises the temperature and pressure of the vapor refrigerant that leaves the evaporator coil.


Scope of Work

  1.   Perform required lockout/tag out safety protocol of NFPA70E of all high voltage electrical circuits prior to beginning work on the unit.
  2.   Recover all of the existing refrigerant into EPA-approved recovery cylinders for safe disposal per EPA guidelines
  3.   Remove and dispose of existing in-line filter drier per industry standards.
  4.   Furnish and install (1) new OEM style compressor and in-line filter drier.
  5.   Furnish and install (2) 4oz bottles of Acid-Away acid neutralizer.
  6.   Pressure test to 250psi with dry nitrogen to ensure all newly-soldered copper connections are leak free, prior to evacuation.
  7.   Evacuate system to 500 microns per EPA industry regulatory standards.
  8.   Confirm rotation prior to testing.
  9.   Perform basic system start-up and testing to ensure proper operation prior to departure and top-off refrigerant charge to the manufacturer's specifications, as listed by the nomenclature on the unit data tag.
  10.   Adjust superheat and sub-cooling values to reflect the manufacturer's recommendations.
